In a letter to supporters, Ron Paul attacked the true conservative Andy Harris (R-MD). Andy Harris is currently a Maryland State Senator, who ran against and defeated RINO Congressman Wayne Gilchrest (R-MD 1).  This is what Ron Paul had to say about this race: “My friend Congressmen Wayne Gilchrest (R-Maryland) was just defeated in his primary election by a neocon fraud similar to the one I face.”

Ron’s “friend Congressmen Wayne Gilchrest” is a pro choice, pro gay marriage, pro illegal immigration, anti military RINO. Andy Harris, the ”neocon fraud” is pro life, pro traditional marriage, anti illegal immigration (pro legal immigration) and pro military.

If Ron Paul thinks that Andy Harris is a “fraud” and that Wayne Gilchrest is a conservative, Ron Paul does not know anything about conservatives.

I am afraid you confuse right wing Christian religious extremism with conservatism. I don’t hold it against you, it’s a common mistake.

The kind of “distraction issue” politics you espouse as conservative is the reason we are in the hole we are as a Nation today. I suggest a brief review of the Federalist Papers.

  2. Edward M. Says:

VOR is correct. These issues are only a smoke screen used to obscure the inexorable collapse of this country. Every election season, it’s the same issues. Yet liberals and fundies alike never seem to notice that they are never resolved. That’s because your elected representatives aren’t trying to.

  3. Brad Smith Says:

Wow nice smear job. Mabee you should check a few facts before you print this type of junk. First, Wayne Gilchrest is not any of the above. He is anti- Illegal Immigration. Pro family and Pro Life. He just doesn’t believe that the Feds have the right to dictate to the states. As for the neo-con fraud Andy Harris, he is exactly that. Being pro war does not make you a conservative. Nor does being pro peace make you a liberal. Spending trillions on death and destruction is not Pro-family no matter what you think about it. When are you neo-con hacks going to get it? We where LIED to. There were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, face it. We have plenty of them but not Saddam. Bush lied Saddam’s people died, and now America is paying for it both in lives and treasure. If Andy Harris is so Pro-Life why would he think it is fine to murder Iraq’s people for Bush’s lies?

  4. Gil Jones Says:

Duh, did he just say sump’in bad about Ron Paul?

I don’t agree with Ron Paul on everything, but these people are right. He is more ACTUALLY conservative than any neocon.
