Liberals Clinically Nuts
February 27, 2008
WASHINGTON – Just when liberals thought it was safe to start identifying themselves as such, an acclaimed, veteran psychiatrist is making the case that the ideology motivating them is actually a mental disorder.
“Based on strikingly irrational beliefs and emotions, modern liberals relentlessly undermine the most important principles on which our freedoms were founded,” says Dr. Lyle Rossiter, author of the new book, “The Liberal Mind: The Psychological Causes of Political Madness.” “Like spoiled, angry children, they rebel against the normal responsibilities of adulthood and demand that a parental government meet their needs from cradle to grave.”
While political activists on the other side of the spectrum have made similar observations, Rossiter boasts professional credentials and a life virtually free of activism and links to “the vast right-wing conspiracy.”
For more than 35 years he has diagnosed and treated more than 1,500 patients as a board-certified clinical psychiatrist and examined more than 2,700 civil and criminal cases as a board-certified forensic psychiatrist. He received his medical and psychiatric training at the University of Chicago.
Rossiter says the kind of liberalism being displayed by the two major candidates for the Democratic Party presidential nomination can only be understood as a psychological disorder.
“A social scientist who understands human nature will not dismiss the vital roles of free choice, voluntary cooperation and moral integrity – as liberals do,” he says. “A political leader who understands human nature will not ignore individual differences in talent, drive, personal appeal and work ethic, and then try to impose economic and social equality on the population – as liberals do. And a legislator who understands human nature will not create an environment of rules which over-regulates and over-taxes the nation’s citizens, corrupts their character and reduces them to wards of the state – as liberals do.”
Dr. Rossiter says the liberal agenda preys on weakness and feelings of inferiority in the population by:
- creating and reinforcing perceptions of victimization;
- satisfying infantile claims to entitlement, indulgence and compensation;
- augmenting primitive feelings of envy;
- rejecting the sovereignty of the individual, subordinating him to the will of the government.
“The roots of liberalism – and its associated madness – can be clearly identified by understanding how children develop from infancy to adulthood and how distorted development produces the irrational beliefs of the liberal mind,” he says. “When the modern liberal mind whines about imaginary victims, rages against imaginary villains and seeks above all else to run the lives of persons competent to run their own lives, the neurosis of the liberal mind becomes painfully obvious.”
My Mind, My Vote
February 23, 2008
Here is something a friend of mine posted on her blog (http://keystonehomeschooler.blogspot.com/)
“The media would like us to think that the Republican race is a “done deal.” That it does not matter what you, and the rest of the country think at this point (the same media that last summer told us Giuliani and Hillary were unstoppable and inevitable). We know that the media tries to matter in every election but they should stick to reporting.
To make matters worse, the PA GOP would also like to have you think that they represent us and know for whom we are voting. Our party leadership is using our party’s funds to support candidates before their constituents, donors, and grassroots supporters speak out, before the Primary election is even held. Is it any wonder why the Republican Party is losing its identity and base? Let us not be too quick to sacrifice the sanctity of our ballot.
The truth is, unless John McCain gets 1,191 committed delegates before the convention, then the nomination won’t be decided until at the convention. An endorsement by a dropped candidate does not commit his delegates to the endorsee. They can vote for whoever they want!
Remember Abraham Lincoln? He got his nomination after the 3rd round of votes at the Republican convention! (The longest Republican convention was in 1880, when James Garfield won the nomination on the 36th round of votes!)
Don’t let the media discourage you! Vote for the candidate of your choice!
Issues where candidates differ:
1 – Supports a national Human Life Amendment
Huckabee: YES
McCain: NO
Paul: NO
2 – Supports ban on embryonic stem cell research
Huckabee: YES
McCain: NO
Paul: YES
3 – Supports law prohibiting human cloning

Paul: NO
4 – Supports Federal Marriage Amendment

Paul: NO
5 – Supports elimination of the IRS

6 – Supports plans for a North American Union

Paul: NO
7 – Signed pledge not to raise taxes
Huckabee: YES
McCain: NO
Paul: YES
8 – Signed no amnesty for illegal aliens pledge
Huckabee: YES
McCain: NO

9 – Emphasizes secure border as part of immigration plan
Huckabee: YES
McCain: NO
Paul: YES
10 – Supports immediate withdraw of troops from Iraq
Huckabee: NO

Friends, there is so much at stake in this election and I want to be able to say that I did what I could for the right candidate to win. I hope you find this information is useful.”
Are we reaping what we’ve sown?
February 21, 2008
Here is a excellent article from Chuck Norris.
“On February 14, 1929, five members of the North Side Irish/German gang led by George “Bugs” Moran were shot and killed in Chicago, Illinois, by four members of Al “Scarface” Capone’s South Side Italian gang. On February 14, 2008, five students at Northern Illinois University were senselessly killed in DeKalb, Illinois, when a former graduate and gunman dressed in a black trench coat walked into a lecture hall and opened fire with a shotgun and two handguns. In all, I’ve counted at least 14 different shootings at colleges or universities since 2000, resulting in approximately 60 fatalities and dozens more wounded.
“And the question we’re all once again asking is, “Why?” Why the escalation of murderous rampages upon our collegiate settings? What will stop the brutal butchering of our youth on campuses across the nation? What will give solace and security to students and parents sending their children away to schools, when they are potential shooting playgrounds? Will we continue to fight to reverse these appalling trends or simply surrender this social crisis to Congress? Will we allow another human hunting to headline tomorrow’s news?
“While we absolutely need to implement further campus securities to reduce the number of violent incidents (like the 10 mentioned at SecurityInfoWatch.com), we must equally address the deeper needs of individuals and society in order to eliminate these acts of evil from ever breaching the borders of another campus. We need to understand what creates, contributes to or exacerbates these heinous crimes and eliminate those negative infusions.
“A decade ago, GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee wrote the book “Kids Who Kill,” which examines and seeks remedies for school shootings. In it he points to modern day factors that contribute to a culture of killing. Among them are a devaluing and disregard for human life; a greater parental disconnection from and immoral license with their children; a fascination with antiheroes or gangsters that breeds cynicism and selfishness; a false sense of self-worth or a perceived incapability of obtaining status, notoriety or contentment; a thirst for adrenaline and extremes to acquire attention, as well as pushing the envelope of rebellion, chaos and brutality; the impersonalizing of society through such devices as the Internet and frequent transient shifts in employment, living localities and friendships; the legislation of subversive morality; an abandonment of a fellowship and moral center of community like a church; and a complete disregard for moral absolutes.
“We teach our children they are nothing more than glorified apes, yet we don’t expect them to act like monkeys. We place our value in things, yet expect our children to value people. We disrespect one another, but expect our children to respect others. We terminate children in the womb, but are surprised when children outside the womb terminate other children. We push God to the side, but expect our children to be godly. We’ve abandoned moral absolutes, yet expect our children to obey the universal commandment: “Thou shall not murder.” As James Madison once wrote, “Liberty may be endangered by the abuses of liberty, as well as by the abuses of power.”
“When asked what a president can do, Mike Huckabee posited amidst his condolences for the victims of the NIU shootings, “I think a president ought to just encourage this country to once again get back to their own moral center.”
“Once upon a time, churches served as moral centers of a community. Of course, not any longer. And as Theodore Roosevelt once said, “In this actual world, a churchless community, a community where men have abandoned and scoffed at, or ignored their Christian duties, is a community on the rapid downgrade.” Our founders concurred.
“George Washington said in his Farewell Address:
Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. The mere politician, equally with the pious man, ought to respect and to cherish them. A volume could not trace all their connections with private and public felicity. Let it simply be asked: Where is the security for property, for reputation, for life, if the sense of religious obligation deserts the oaths which are the instruments of investigation in courts of justice? And let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion. Whatever may be conceded to the influence of refined education on minds of peculiar structure, reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle.
“Do we now believe we can consider morality and religion optional, without suffering civil and societal repercussions, despite the warning of our Founding Fathers, such as John Adams, “Our Constitution was made for only a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other”?
“If Psalm 33:12 says, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,” then what will be the state of blessedness for the nation that abandons God and his moral code of conduct?”

Ron Paul attacks a true Conservative
February 20, 2008
In a letter to supporters, Ron Paul attacked the true conservative Andy Harris (R-MD). Andy Harris is currently a Maryland State Senator, who ran against and defeated RINO Congressman Wayne Gilchrest (R-MD 1). This is what Ron Paul had to say about this race: “My friend Congressmen Wayne Gilchrest (R-Maryland) was just defeated in his primary election by a neocon fraud similar to the one I face.”
Ron’s “friend Congressmen Wayne Gilchrest” is a pro choice, pro gay marriage, pro illegal immigration, anti military RINO. Andy Harris, the ”neocon fraud” is pro life, pro traditional marriage, anti illegal immigration (pro legal immigration) and pro military.
If Ron Paul thinks that Andy Harris is a “fraud” and that Wayne Gilchrest is a conservative, Ron Paul does not know anything about conservatives.

Upset in Maryland
February 15, 2008
On Wednesday, there was a major upset in Maryland. No, I am not talking about the Presidential Primaries; I am talking about a Congressional Primary.
This huge upset comes from Maryland’s Fist Congressional District. The district is currently represented by RINO Wayne Gilchrest. Rep Gilchrest has won all of his reelection bids very handily. That is until this election.
In this year’s GOP Primary, Wayne was opposed by State Senator Andy Harris, State Senator E.J. Pipkin, Dr. Joe Arminio, and Robert Banks. The last two were not serious competitors. Sen. Harris and Sen. Pipkin were, with each gathering 31,490 and 14,704 votes respectively.
The Big story is the final results. In a race that was supposed to be very close with Rep. Gilchrest on top, Sen. Andy Harris won by 11% of the vote. That is 8,000 votes.
This is a huge victory for Conservative Republicans. With it looking like RINO John McCain will be the nominee, we need as many conservatives in the House and the Senate as possible. We can do this. Maryland’s First Congressional District is proof of this.
Lets get out and elect conservatives.
Also, congratulations and good luck to Sen. Andy Harris!!

ROMNEY DROPS OUT!!!!
February 7, 2008
Mitt Romney has dropped out of the race for President of the United States. Here is a video of his comments a CPAC.
Now that Mitt Romney has dropped out, there is only one conservative in the race. GO HUCKABEE!!!!!
Should I stick with Huckabee?
February 6, 2008
While Mike did pretty well yesterday, I don’t know if he can hold on and pick up enough states. The really big question is whether he has enough money or not. I don’t think he does. I used to be with the Hunter campaign, and I saw that you can’t go anywhere without money. I am thinking about switching to the Romney campaign because I know he has enough money. One way that will keep me with Huckabee is if I can raise at least $1,000 for Huckabee from this post. If you would like me to keep supporting Huckabee, you can contribute though the widget at the bottom of this post, or by clicking here.
